American Legion Membership is open to all Honorably Discharged Veterans who served 1 day since December 7, 1941. Annual cost is $40. Benefits include VA Benefits Assistance, organizing to support legislation to benefit Veterans at the Local, State, and National Levels, and numerous national discount programs.

Help out in our community - our biggest programs are Boy's State Summer Program and the numerous scholarships we offer to graduating Seniors. We also have the only local rifle team supporting Veteran Funerals in Austin County.

American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships. Since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established to provide scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001.
